James "Bub" Close, 47, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 13, 1970 to the late Kenneth Close and Mary L. Wheatley. He was a cable installer.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Connie Close; two children, James Close, Jr. and Courtney Close; a granddaughter, Carmyn Close; a brother, Robert Close; mother and father in law, Virgil and Donna Montgomery; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 11-2 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
