James Lawrence Cheser

James Lawrence Cheser, age 100, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2020. James was born in Washington County, Kentucky to the late James T. and Mayme Lawrence Cheser.
James proudly served in the US Army during WWII and retired from the Louisville Transit Company (TARC) after 37 years of service. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was a member of the Robinson-Plumb #266 Masonic Lodge for over 75 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Hardesty Cheser; sons, Lloyd Keith Cheser and Eugene Dorsey Cheser; granddaughter, Beatina Reed; and grandson, Bobby Mudd.
James is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Gentry (Gil); son, David Cheser (Debbie); 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Due to current Covid regulations services are private. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
