James C. "Mr. Fuzz" Carter, 83, of Louisville, KY went home to be with his precious Lord, whom he loved very much on May 28, 2019. He was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church for many years and he was a volunteer Chaplin for Kentucky State Reformatory. James was the president of the Joy Riders Motorcycle Ministers and a Kentucky Colonel. He retired from Jones Trucking and enjoyed square dancing.
He was preceded is death by his daughter, Peggy Mae; son, James Carter, Jr.; parents, Edward Lewis and Lona Rea Carter; siblings, Glen, Butch, Cora, Martha, Mick and Jessie.
James is survived by his loving wife, Joann Carter; children, Trina (Mike) Stith, John Carter and David (Donna) Carter; grandchildren, Chris, Larry, Jimmy, Billy, Amy, Johnny, Chance, Chase, Melissa and Bryan; 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; siblings, David (Sandy) Carter, Noah (Carol) Carter, Dee Carter and Loretta Carter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 12pm-6pm with a celebration of James's life beginning at 6pm.
