James C. "Jay" Johnson, age 86, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 23, 2016. He was a member of St. Leonard's Catholic Church, and a loving and devoted father who will be sorely missed by all. Jay was an avid UofK fan and also a lover of anything Disney! He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Shirley G. Johnson; and his parents, Clifton and Margaret Triplett Johnson.
Jay is survived by his loving children, Michael Schnieders (Connie), Cindy Nix (David), Cathy Guenther (Gregg), Jim Johnson (Angie) and Greg Johnson (Brenda); ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9:30am until 1pm, with service at 1pm on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown.
The family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus.
