James Alan Badger

James Alan Badger, 63, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of VFW Post 1693. Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid fisherman and also gardener. He always looked forward to gathering around a bonfire and getting to spend time with his family.

He was born on April 11, 1962 in New Albany to Paul Badger and the late Ruth (Harper) Badger. In addition to his mother, Jim was proceeded in death by his brother, Jerry Badger.

Along with his father, Jim is survived by his sisters, Trish Byrd (Howard), Pam Badger; nieces and nephews, Jake Badger, Chrissy Byrd, Gage Badger, Ashley Byrd; and great-niece, Lyric Badger.

Jim's wish was to be cremated. He will be laid to rest privately with military honors at New Albany National Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to VFW Post 1693 (1919 Grant Line Road, New Albany, IN 47150).
