James Horace Anderson
James Horace Anderson passed peacefully at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Our Heavenly Father took him home on the morning of Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the age of 73.
He was born to Inez Edna Bailey Anderson & James Anderson on May 7, 1948 in Campbellsville, KY.
Preceding him in death were his parents Inez Edna Bailey Anderson and James Anderson, his brothers Greg and William as well as his beloved cousin John who was like a brother to him. Also preceded in his death was step son, Larry.
On February 14, 1987 he married Allan L. Baker.
James was known to most as "Horace" and graduated from duPont Manual High School in 1966. After graduation he worked for the USPS as a postal worker. He retired from the Postal Service after 35 years. He was best known for his free-hearted fun personality. His love of dancing coined him the nickname "Hot City". Horace also loved music and cruising in his cars with his family.
James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 35 years, Allan L. Baker Anderson; son, Quincy (Kandice) White Sr.; step daughter, Grace Rice; grandchildren, Chelle, Chirstine, QuinTanay Smith, Quincy "Deuce" L. White Jr.; and a host of relatives, honory relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
