Jim was born in Columbus, OH. Jim grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Proviso East HS &
attended Triton Jr. College & the University of Illinois CC. He moved to Louisville in 1976 & attended Jefferson Community & Technical College.
Jim was a master quality artist whose work was exhibited at Triton & the JB Speed Museum. He also was a remodeler & transportation coordinator for a local trucking company. Jim brought joy and laughter to all he knew. He valued family & friends and above all else he singlehandedly raised his 2 children. Jim was a voracious reader & enjoyed passing the knowledge he acquired to those around him. Jim had a zest for life & reminded us to never take it too seriously. He taught us how to find joy in any task & how to find humor in the darkest of times. Jim had a beautiful spirit that will be greatly missed & fondly remembered. Jim was most happy to know that he lived to see his Chicago Bears win a Super Bowl in 1986 and the Chicago Cubs become World Series Champions in 2016.
Jim chose cremation. A memorial visitation will be held on December 8th 2018 from 1 PM - 3 PM at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243), with a Celebration of Jim's life to follow at 3 PM at the funeral home.
