James "Jim" Alan Duff, 70, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. He was born on February 2, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to John and Mary (Boatman) Duff. Jim was a member at St Mary's Navilleton Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana and retired from Vermont America after many years of service. He was a United States Army veteran where he served in Special Forces Green Berets. Jim enjoyed reading, tennis, gun collecting, and adored his pets.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Jack William Steiner III. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years; Francis (Stringer) Duff; children, Holly Crawford (Brian)and Jennifer Shirley (Gordon); sister, Jean Sidebottom (Don); and 3 grandchildren, Eli Crawford, Jack Foldyna, Francesca Shirley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11 AM to 12:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150, with a Graveside Service to follow at 2 PM located at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
