August 26, 1958 — March 18, 2018

Jack W. Smith, 59, of Sulphur, Ky passed away on Sunday, March 18th, 2018. Born in Crab Orchard, Ky, Jack lived and worked in and around Louisville for much of his life. A quiet man, Jack was an avid fisherman, a dedicated worker across many pursuits, and a source of consistency and stability to all who knew him. He died in a room filled beyond capacity by loved ones who represented just a fraction of those whose lives he touched.

Jack is survived by three siblings, Anne French, Betty Huffines, and Bill Smith. He is also survived by three sons, Travis, Bobby, and Jonathan as well as Travis's fiancee Alisha Drake, Bobby's wife Christina Smith, and Jonathan's husband Sean Doumas. Additionally, his grandchildren include Jordan Hicks, Shawn Shadburn, Troy Drake, Talia Drake, and Tamia Drake. He is further survived by his wife of many years and companion to the end, Jenny Johns-Smith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Crab Orchard, KY following the funeral service on Wednesday.
