Jack Edward Ruck, of Louisville was born January 30, 1940 in Sterling, IL, and died June 16, 2017, at home, from pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer.
Jack graduated from Eastern High School, University of Louisville and Brandeis School of Law. He practiced law until his retirement in 2007. He earned his Eagle Scout in 1954 and served in the US Army during the Berlin Wall Crisis.
He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing, and cocktails on the deck with his family and friends.
He is survived of by his wife, Lynn, of 55 years; his three children, son Mark (Amy) Ruck and grandchildren Jackson (fiancée Rachel) and Justin Ruck of St. Louis; daughter, Lea Ann (Clay) Robinson and grandchildren Taylor and Kevin Robinson of Easton, Maryland; son, Matt (Roxanne) Ruck and grandchildren J.P, Katherine, Jack and Caroline Ruck of Moscow, Idaho; and his sister Barbara Ann Ruck of Oxford, Michigan. He was predeceased by his parents Fern and Bill Ruck and his cat Harley.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Owl Creek Country Club, 12400 Osage Road, from 3-7pm.
