Jack Edward Jordan

Jack Edward Jordan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on December 25, 1940, in Markle, Indiana, Jack dedicated his life to the field of civil engineering and land surveying, contributing to numerous projects that shaped the landscapes of communities. Over the course of his career, Jack displayed an unwavering commitment to his work, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.

Beyond his professional life, Jack had a rich array of interests that he pursued with enthusiasm. He was an avid collector of coins and stamps, finding joy in the history and stories behind each piece. Furthermore, Jack held a fascination with NASA and space travel. He was also a long-time member of Graceland Baptist Church.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Sandra Jordan; and their children: Robert (Kelly) Jordan, Chris (Kristie) Jordan, Jeff (Aubrey) Jordan, David (Martina) Jordan, Eric Brown, and Sheila Reid. Jack was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Sofia, Sebastian, Dominique, Vanessa, Hunter, Sheryl, Soren, Jessica, Joshua, Allyson, Tirna, Raven, and Sebastian. He was also a great-grandfather to LaShaun, Aliyah, Lucas, Lucy, Jude, Joseph, Jacob, Hunter Jr., Carter, and Ava, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Jack is also survived by his siblings, Lynette Harris and Jim Jordan, as well as his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Jordan and Mary Will Jordan, and his brothers, Kay Jordan and Ron Jordan.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
