Jack Hurd, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
He was born on August 7, 1936 in Blackey, Kentucky to the late Joe and Lora (Bailey) Hurd. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Paul & Billy Hurd, sisters, Pauline Davis, JoAnn Reynolds and Helen Gevedon.
Jack is survived by his daughters Karen Wright, Polly Smith, niece and caretaker, Lisa Tennill, niece, Kim Chappelle, Shannon Phillips, Maureen Lawrence, nephews Alan Combs, Mike Combs, brother-in-law, Curtis Davis, five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
His funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Eastwood Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Jack's memory be made to The Salvation Army.
