Jack Neal Decker, 72, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. He had worked for General Electric in Louisville and retired as the Vice President for the American Printing House for the Blind. Jack was a fan and graduate of Purdue University. He loved his family and enjoyed working on model trains.
He was born on October 15, 1944, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Hugh Decker and Violet (DeVault) Dilling. Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy (Henson) Decker; sons, Jeff Decker (Leanne) and Jason Decker (Beth); siblings, Carole Gourley (Larry), Steve Decker (Dora), and Jim Decker (Robin); sister-in-law, Connie Decker; grandchildren, Flynn, Vivian, Victoria, and Makayla; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen following Jack's wishes. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Memorial Service taking place at 3:00 p.m. Jack will be laid to rest privately at a later date at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
