Charles "Jack" William Case, aged 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026. Born on May 14, 1935, in Fletcher, Ohio, to Charles and Beulah (Hamilton) Case, Jack was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a cherished member of his community.
He was a member of Simpsonsville Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was a big man with a big heart and big personality. Jack loved hard and played hard. A man who loved life deeply and loved his family fiercely. Jack found great joy in fishing, especially at his beloved Au Sable Lake in Michigan. Those that knew and loved him enjoyed his colorful jokes, limmericks and unique sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Beulah Karnehm Case; his grandson, Lucas Thompson; his sister, Joan Case; and his son-in-law, Tom Schifano. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy Case; his daughters Cheryl (Bruce) Scales, Sally (Jim) Fulp, and Wendy (Cliff) Stepp; his brother Steve (Joy) Karnehm; grandchildren Casey (Nikki) Fulp, Maggie (Taylor) Irwin, and Tommy (Caroline) Schifano; as well as great-grandchildren Emmie, Jackson, and James Fulp, Jack Irwin, and Vivian Schifano. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Simpsonville Christian Church, 7002 Shelbyville Road, Simpsonville, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location. Jack will be laid to rest privately at Fletcher Cemetery in Fletcher, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Simpsonville Christian Church in Jack’s memory.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones to share memories and condolences via the guestbook. Jack’s enduring spirit and love will be remembered with great affection by all who had the honor of knowing him.
