Iva Dean Huffine age 91, resident of Wesley Manor was called Home on Monday, January 18, 2021.
She was born in Ula, Kentucky to the late Ottis and Nellie (Randall) Hargis. She is also preceded in death by her husband Lee Huffine, Jr., sister Ella Mounce, brother Ralph Hargis and Denton Hargis.
As a child she was raised on a small family farm in a loving family of 6 children. Married had four daughters. She then married Lee Huffine Jr. in 1986. She worked in food service, as a housekeeper, as a dining room supervisor before being promoted to receptionist and secretary. She was a devoted and selfless mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to express her love by cooking great country meals and baking, especially for holiday family gatherings.
Iva is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Nordmeyer, Brenda (Ronald) Smith, Kathy (Ross) McCammon, Penny (Michael) Sheppard, grandchildren Kimberly Smith Mott, Kayli McCammon, Brittany Sheppard, great-grandchildren Julia Mott, Katie Mott and brothers William Hargis (Lucille), Onva Hargis (Linda) and also numerous loved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Manor for the loving care they gave over the past 6 years, as well as the staff at Baptist Palliative Care.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wesley Manor Charitable Care Fund or the Palliative Care at Baptist Health Foundation.
