Ishmael C. Dennison

Ishmael C. Dennison, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 10, 1929 to the late Burl and Anna Dennison. He was retired from Creasy Company and was a veteran of the United States Army Aircorps.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Figg and a brother, Burl Dennison.

Ishmael is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Goldie Dennison; children, Laura (Johnny) Hart, Danny (Nora) Dennison, Etta (Dick) McGee, Steve (Mary-Jo) Dennison, Becky (James) Wolf, Ronny Baker, Cindy (Chuck) Jones and Dale Dennison, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren; a brother, Luke Dennison; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
