Irvin Leon, 83, of New Albany, IN., originally from Salem, IN, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was a firefighter for crash rescue while serving his country in the US Air Force and also a long-time employee of Kimball Office Furniture. Irvin had a great love for fishing and his dogs.
His survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Fordyce; his children, Stephen and Richard Fordyce; step-children, Linda, Lisa, Annette, Janette, Jacqueline, Tamara and Timothy Witt; 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Emmet Fordyce.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
