Irma Rosalee Springer, 88, rose in power Saturday, October 3, 2020. On October 28, 1931, she was born in Irvington, Kentucky, to the late Monroe and Melvina Crouch. Irma was preceded in eternity by her sisters Shirley Lawrence and Margaret Greenlee, her brother Monroe Crouch, and her twin sons, Wesley and Walter Springer.
Irma was an avid U of L Basketball fan. She enjoyed cheering on the Cardinals Men and Women basketball teams every season. Most of all, Irma loved God and her family and will be dearly missed.
Irma is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Rev. John Wesley Springer, Jr.; brother, William Crouch (Rosa) of Ekron, Kentucky, sister, Lucy Johnson (Milton); children James Lawrence Luney, Nancy Walker (Sanford), Jonii Olivia Taylor (Larry), and Harold Springer (Helen); her extended family Brenda Springer, friends at SWH Supply Company and The Andersons, ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, quite a few great-great-grandchildren, Joann Williams, a host of other nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Special Thank You to Hosparus of Louisville and Gloria Goree.
As per Irma's wishes, she will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life Memorial Ceremony will be held in her honor on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 4610 Manslick Road, Louisville, KY 40216 at 2:00 PM. Please wear red and black.
In place of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Irma may be made to the family of Irma Springer in the care of John Springer.
