Irma Lavern Hauber, 80, of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Formerly of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Lavern enjoyed and was an avid reader, and was a devout Catholic. She worked for Audubon Hospital for 49 years before her retirement. At Audubon Hospital she worked on Pediatrics and then in ICU. Lavern was one of 10 employees at Norton Audubon with 49 years of experience. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family, and helped take care of anyone in need. Lavern will be missed by all those who knew her, and worked with her.
She was born on March 11, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Russell and Marie (Willard) Wood. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Brothers, Russell L Wood, Jimmie Wood, and Niece, Melissa Wood.
Lavern is survived by her Daughter, Shannon (James) Madden, A Special Friend whom she treated as her Daughter, Cheryl (Joe) Flores, Grandchildren, Tyanna Bruley, Dixie Poole, Brandon (Kami) Madden, and Kimberly (Andrew) Franklin, Great-Grandchild, Koraline Bruley, Sister, Anna Ferguson, Brother, Charles Wood. Lavern also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Rotary Pavilion at Freeman Lake from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
