Imo Lenora (Longest) Tyler

November 23, 1925 — January 23, 2019

Imo Lenora (Longest) Tyler, 93, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 23, 2019. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Albany, as well as a member of the VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born on November 23, 1925, in Paoli, Indiana, to the late Roy and Sarah (McDonald) Longest. Imo was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dean Tyler; sons, Michael and Alan Tyler; and brother, Marvin Longest.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Tom; daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Tyler; grandchildren, Tracey (Matt), Nicole (Tony), Shaine, Dallas (Amy), Jessie, Jacob, Jenna (Jordan), and Justin (Carol); and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 12:00 p.m. at her church. Her Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1534 Slate Run Road, New Albany, Indiana) with burial to follow at English Cemetery in English, Indiana.
