Imelda R. Shadowen (Meiners)

SHADOWEN, IMELDA "MILLIE" (MEINERS), 81, of Louisville, peacefully entered eternal life on December 6, 2016 with loved ones by her side.
She was a loving friend, aunt, mother, sister, and grandmother. In addition to being an avid sports fan, she enjoyed endless hours of playing cards with her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Christina Voll Meiners; three brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by four children; Leon Jr. (Laurie), Steve, Jeff (Teresa) and Melinda Eaton (Keith), and nine grandchildren, a bother Frank Meiners, countless nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Church of the Ascension, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home East, Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). Expressions of love may be made to Mass of the Air or Hosparus of Louisville. We would also like to thank the staff of Hosparus and Westport Place Health Campus for their loving care and compassion.
