Ila Mae Vetter, 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Mae loved to play Bingo, do crossword puzzles, and play any card game. She also enjoyed sewing. Mae took any opportunity she could to take a trip to the casino for some fun.
She was born on May 13, 1939, in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, to the late Otis and Gladys (Norton) Johnson. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vetter; siblings, Filmore Johnson, Rita Colvin, Charlie Johnson, Billy Johnson, Alice Johnson, and Elizabeth Johnson.
Mae is survived by her son, Robert Vetter (Douglas); daughter, Annetta Via; sisters, Jean Copeland and Carolyn Owens; and granddaughter, Audrey Via.
A Memorial Gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen following Mae's wishes.
