Icelona Peggy Kinberger

Icelona Peggy Kinberger, 99, of Louisville passed away on March 22, 2017. Peggy was born in Jellico Creek, Tennessee on October 27, 1917 to the late Lee and Ocie Daugherty. She married Frank Kinberger in Louisville and they raised their children there. Peggy enjoyed weekly dances at the VFW in Brandenburg into her early nineties.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kinberger. She leaves two daughters, Pamela Grey (John) and Karen Underwood; one sister, Fronie Laxton; two grandchildren, Tara and Ronnie; four great-grandchildren, Dakota, Devin, Savannah, and Sophia; special friend, Beth Grey; and caregiver, Brenda Parker.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, March 27, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 3:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Kentucky Humane Society.
