Huguette Lauber, age 92 of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. She was born in Vosges, France to the late Gustave and Marguerite Mangin. She loved her family greatly and was always supportive and she will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Amicale Francaise where she made many friends with other people of French heritage. She was a strong person of faith and was a member of New Life Church. Huguette will always be remembered for her wonderful French cooking, her kind heart and her caring nature for her family and friends. The family always appreciated her frugal nature which she nurtured over the years in France during World War II. She retired from the Census Bureau after 20 years of service.
Mrs. Lauber is survived by her loving children, Diana Janes (Brian), Marc Lauber and Francine Byars (Garner); grandchildren, Ryan McCoy (Kortney), Joshua Lauber (Ashley) and Lauren Janes; great-grandchildren, Raegan McCoy, Ryleigh McCoy and Ryan McCoy, Jr.; cousins, Janine Lytle (Don) and Jacques Knecht (Francine); and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243. A celebration of Huguette's life will take place at 1pm at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to express their thanks for the love and kindness shown to our mother during her illness, especially Deborah Guess for the last seven years.
