Hubert Taylor Asbury

Asbury, Hubert Taylor, 52, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 26, 2016.

His strength kept him fighting far longer than the doctors gave him credit for, as he was determined to make sure his family could go on without him. He passed on the meaning of a man to his son and grandson, gave strength and courage to his daughter, and his heart and love to his wife. After he was able to hold his granddaughter and watch her smile at him, he decided it was time. He lives on in our hearts and memories, and will forever be a solid foundation for the family that loves him and will miss him.

Hubert was born on October 26, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Lloyd Randall Asbury and Anna Lucille Asbury.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Marie Asbury; children, Matthew Taylor Asbury (Jessica), Sabrina Christine Tackett (Eric); grandchildren, Taylor Nathaniel Tackett and Serenity Marie Asbury; two sisters, Valeria Masden (Rick) and Jomae Longino (Jerry); and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272), a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home, with visitation to resume after his service, until 8 p.m.
