Homer Edward Stinson

Homer Edward "Buddy" Stinson, 64, loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Buddy was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a huge NASCAR fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and also traveling the country as a truck driver with his wife by his side.

He was born on July 28, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Myla (Carpenter) Baley and the late Homer Hill. He is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Hill.

Along with his mother, Buddy is survived by his wife and soul mate of over 43 years, Peggy (Olson) Stinson; children, James Stinson (Kitty) and Bridget Lanier (Gary); siblings, John Calhoun, Treeva Talley, Jack Purnell, James Stinson, Michelle Nalley, Darren Stinson, Heather Napper, and Homer Hill; grandchildren, Mark Stinson, Rusty Stinson, Evan Stinson, Roland Barefoot, and Victoria Barefoot; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen following Buddy's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his memorial service taking place at 2:00 p.m.
