Hobert Stanfield, Sr., 90, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
He was born on July 23, 1930, to John Stanfield and Della (Baird) Curry. Hobert was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Crawley) Stanfield.
Hobert is survived by his children, Jackie Schmelz (David), Tracy Stanfield, and Hobert "Hobey" Stanfield, Jr. (Sara); and grandchildren, Brandon Schmelz, Kyle Schmelz (Carly Baehr), Travis Boling (Matt), Classique Stanfield, Isaiah Lewis, Desirae Lewis, Jaya Garrett, and Amelia Hicks.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
Contributions in Hobert's memory may be made to Amedysis Hospice (305 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN 47130) or to Miller Cemetery (5829 East State Road 60, Pekin, IN 47165).
