Hilda Ruth (Loew) Robinson, 86, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones while being sang into heaven on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Born on May 19, 1940, Hilda was the daughter of the late John Loew and Irma (Ott) Loew. Throughout her life, she embodied strength, love, and steadfast faith, qualities that guided her through each day and touched the lives of all who knew her.
Hilda was an active and longtime member of Pfrimmer's Chapel United Methodist Church. Her devotion to her church family was evident in her countless acts of service, particularly through sharing her talents in crocheting baby blankets for church missions. Her handiwork provided warmth and comfort to many, reflecting her deep compassion and generous spirit.
Family was the heart of Hilda's world. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Left to treasure her memory are her children: daughters Ruthanne Best (Tom) and Rosie Lieber, and her son Patrick Robinson (Joan). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jeremy Robinson (Courtney) and Jonathon Robinson (Kellie). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Fox, Levi, Kipton, and Kooper Robinson, who brought much joy to her later years and lovingly called her Grandma Robin.
Hilda is also survived by her devoted siblings: sisters Laverne Smith, Mary Koetter, and Helen Gettelfinger, and brother Lawrence Loew (Sharon).
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter "Rags" Robinson; her son-in-law, Glenn Lieber; and her sister, Anna Marie Brown.
Hilda filled her days with simple pleasures—tending to her flower beds, filling the world around her with beauty, and gathering with friends and family to play cards, especially her favorite, euchre. She poured her heart into the lives of those around her, leaving an enduring mark of kindness, generosity, and joy.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Pfrimmer's Chapel United Methodist Church, (505 Pfrimmer's Chapel Road NE, Lanesville) with her funeral service taking place at 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
