Herschel Wayne Elliott

Herschel "Wayne" Elliott, 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He retired from Hoosier Panel and was a member of Victory Lighthouse Church in New Albany. Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

He was born on May 19, 1938, in Milltown, Indiana, to the late Herschel T. and Henrietta (Hess) Elliott. Wayne was also preceded in death by his brothers, Merle, Larry, and Clyde Elliott; and sister, Brenda Elliott.

Wayne is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Mary (Troncin) Elliott; children, Sandra Young (Steve) and David Elliott (Penny); siblings, Gary Elliott (Shirley), Terry Elliott, and Roger Elliott (Donna); sisters-in-law, Pat, Vickie, and Linda Elliott; grandsons, Paul Harvey and Glen Elliott (Danielle); and great-grandchildren, Erin, Addison, and Alexis.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 9:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Wayne's wishes.
