Herlie Nicholas Bell, 87, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

He was born on August 14, 1929, in Gleanings, Kentucky, to the late Buchanan "Buck" and Mary Attie (Mattingly) Bell. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Tindle) Bell; and his six brothers and three sisters.

Herlie is survived by his children, Linda, Mike, Tina, Chris, and Tim Bell, Roxann Wilson, Rhonda Norton, Vickie Frazier, and Dennis Baird; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Newcomer Funeral Home.
