Herbert Woodard

Herbert "Woody" Woodard Jr., 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. Woody was a Barber and Beautician for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with friends and family. Woody proudly served in the United States Army.

He was born on February 28, 1935 in Springfield, Tennessee to Herbert and Ellen (Matthews) Woodard. He is preceded in death by Parents, Brothers, Jimmy Pettis, and Billy Pettis.

Woody is survived by his loving Companion for many years, Shirley Ramsey, Son, Darryl Clark (Helen) Woodard, Daughter, Deidre L Woodard, Daughter, Hervette Woodard, Son, Herbert Woodard, III, Son, Marcus Woodard (Dreanna Moffitt), Sisters, Martha Matthews, Virginia Woodard, Mary "Liz" Barbee, and Mary "Liza" Chatman, Brothers, Will Woodard, and Lee Woodard. Woody also leaves behind to cherish his memory 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Extended Family

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of Services at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel. His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, Kentucky.
