Herbert "Buck" Bailey, 74, of Louisville, KY passed away on July 13, 2014. He was a security officer with Jefferson Special Police. Buck was an avid UT Vols fan. He also liked watching John Wayne movies and listening to Elvis.
Buck was born on August 17, 1939, in La Follette, TN to the late Esker and Ilenia (Guy) Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Anne Bailey and brother, Ernest Bailey.
Survivors include his daughter, Regina Bailey; sister, Vivian Shoffner; granddaughter, Destiny Gordon; cousins, Greg Shoffner and David Shoffner; and close friend, Sonya Edwards.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm Monday, July 21, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central (Radcliff, KY).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675).
