Herb Rassman, 66, of Louisville, passed away on September 14, 2015. Herb was the Manager of Dutch's Tavern for over 30 years. He was a sports fanatic, including Notre Dame football and the San Francisco Giants. He was an avid reader and history buff. Herb served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star with Valor and a Purple Heart.
Herb was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 8, 1949 to the late Herbert and Virginia (Mulligan) Rassman.
Survivors include his sisters, Ginny Rassman, Ann Marie Rassman (Matt and Amber McCloud), Mary Ann Snyder; niece, Christina Hahn (Cory); nephew Michael Snyder (Ashley); great-nephew, Owen Hahn and great-niece, Harper Hahn; and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive) with funeral ceremony following at 3:00 pm.
