Henry Owens Iii

October 25, 1941 — December 27, 2021

Henry Owens III, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was an Educator for many years before his retirement. Henry graduated from Kentucky State University and got his Masters Degree from Spaulding University. He was an Alderman for the City of Louisville. Henry was a Deacon, Bible School Teacher, and a Man of God. He proudly served in the United States Army. Henry will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on October 25, 1941 in Bullitt County, Kentucky to Henry and Johnella (Terrell) Owens. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, John Owens, and Leonard Owens.

Henry is survived by his Sons, Ricky Owens, Steven (Tolanda) Owens, Henry (Callie) Owens, IV, and Terrance Owens, Grandchildren, Chance, Jade, Stephon, and Alexis, Sisters, Sue Rayborn, and Jacqueline Winsett. Henry also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Extended Family.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Newcomer, Cremations & Funerals- Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). His Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel.
