Henry Hammons, 59, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on February 20, 2016. He was born on August 27, 1956 in Clay County, Kentucky to Boyd and Donna (Brewer)Hammons. Henry was a cabinet maker for Kramer in Columbus, Indiana for many years. He was an avid fisherman, loved horses, and enjoyed deer hunting.
Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Donna (Brewer) Hammons. He is survived by his loving wife , Susan (Dunn) Hammons, children; Francine Kingsley (Jason), Samuel Ray (Steven Spencer), Nikki Ray (Jeff Silvers), father, Boyd Hammons, siblings; Ronnie (Evlene), Gilbert (Judy), Wayne (Rita), Charlie (Polly), and John (Joyce) Hammons, 5 grandchildren; Dakota, Kameron, Savannah, Destiny, Chloe, great-grandchild, Malachi, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 2 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, IN 47150) and will continue at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 until time of service.. His Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 1PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
