Henry Dweall Martin, 81, loving husband and father, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany. Dweall had also been involved with the Knights of Columbus and retired as a admissions director for RETS Electronics.
He was born on August 22, 1933 in Graceville, Florida to the late Clinton and Willie Clyde (Elmore) Martin. Dweall was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean (Popplewell) Martin; and siblings, Laura, Inez, Anna Lee, and Willie.
Dweall is survived by his children, Kellie Allen (Gary), Michael Martin, Tony Martin; sister, Ophelia Dansby; grandchildren, Jason Allen, Jessica Cruz (JP); great-grandchildren, Jazmine, Jeramyah, Savannah, and Alysha.
Visitation will be 5 PM to 8 PM Monday, July 13, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) with a rosary being prayed at 7:30 PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) with entombment to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dweall's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205) or to his church.
