Henry Cline Peper, 87, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on October 1, 2016. He was an avid fisherman, a retired mechanic of 27 years for the New Albany-Floyd County School Corporation, a proud Mason of the Pythagoras #355 Lodge for 50 years in New Albany, and member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Corydon, IN.
He was born on September 28, 1929 in Corydon, IN to the late Charles S. and Dora L. (Cline) Peper. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Maxine (Hammond) Peper; children, Debbie Maschmeyer ( Mark), Jennifer Peper, Pam Collins (Jeff), and David Peper (Barbara); grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Mathew), Rachel Stafford (Steven), Daniel Collins, and Marissa Peper; and great-grandchildren, David and Daniel Peper.
Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 with Masonic honors at 6:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue Thursday morning at 9AM until time of service. His Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
