Helen Ann Kuehn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, April 13 at the age of 85. She was born Helen Ann Buehner on July 21, 1936 in Louisville and graduated from Ursuline Academy. Helen worked for First National Bank and later for Wallitsch Nursery and Garden Center as an office manager. A longtime member of the German-American Club, she was also an avid perennial gardener, and an excellent cook. She loved traveling to Florida with her husband and friends. Above all, she valued family and was like a second grandmother to her great-nephews and nieces. Helen was preceded in death by her parents William and Grace Buehner; her husband, Charlie; and her brother, Bill.
Helen is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Buehner; nieces, Kim Mattingly (Greg), Susan Borden (Larry), and Lisa Isert; nephews, Kevin Buehner (Pearl) and Chris Isert; great-nephews, Will, Chase, Nicholas, Tyler, Griffin, Cameron, Bryce, Blake, Parker; great-niece, Delainey; and sister, Kathy Isert (Kevin); and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 11am to 12pm on Thursday, April 21, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243), with a celebration of Helen's life at 12pm. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
