Helen Lynn Kelley

January 13, 1966 — December 27, 2016

Helen Lynn Kelley, 50, of Vine Grove, Kentucky passed away on December 27, 2016. She worked at the Nazareth Nursing Home as the Activities Director caring for Alzheimer's patients for 18 years. Helen loved her ladies from work. She spent most of her time with family and friends. Helen loved the outdoors—if the sun was shining, she was out there. She had a passion for animals and she would take any stray in.

Helen was born on January 13, 1966, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Marvin Carroll and Patricia (Hammer) Arthur. She was also preceded in death by her grandma and papaw.

Helen is survived by her husband of 21 years, Brian Kelley; daughters, Valarie (Chris) Adkins and Angel (Christopher) Patton; granddaughter, Haleigh Adkins; sister, Wanda (Danny) Thompson; and aunt, Jennie Lee Hammer.

Her Celebration of Life will be at the Camp Carlson Recreation Area at Carlson Hall (9210 U.S. Route 60, Muldraugh, KY 40155) on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Family and friends can gather together from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm and then her Celebration of Life will follow the gathering at 6:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the KY Humane Society.
