Helen Frances Jewell

Helen Frances Jewell, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in LaRue County, Kentucky on September 23, 1937 to the late Ernie E. and Alemia Underwood. She was of the Catholic Faith.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Downing; and a brother, Robert Underwood.

Helen is survived by her beloved children, Debra Allen, Phyllis (Louis) Clemons, David Jewell, Dorothy (Sherman) Jordan and Carl Jewell; eight grandchildren, Sherman, Angela, Ken, Katrina, Leanne, Melissa, Breanna and Jake; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Mae (J.D.) VanHook; a brother, Marvin (Aileen) Underwood; and a host of other family members and friends.

Memorial Service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
