Helen Lucille (Pixley) Graf, passed away on April 20, 2026, just two days shy of her 93rd birthday. Born on April 22, 1933, in Clark County, Indiana, Helen’s life was marked by dedication to family, community, and faith.
Helen was a cherished member of her church communities, first at St. Paul in Sellersburg and later at St. John Paul II. Her involvement in church activities was a significant aspect of her life, shaping her values and her commitment to serving others.
A woman of many talents and interests, Helen found joy in simple pleasures such as coloring, a pastime that brought her calm and contentment. She was also a remarkable cook who delighted in sharing her dishes at 4-H auctions, where her contributions were celebrated and appreciated by many.
Helen’s family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her children: Paul (Diane) Graf, Dale Graf, Kenneth (Jamie) Graf, Gary (Gina) Graf, and Karen (David) Graves; and daughter-in-law, Barb Graf. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Jennifer Gregoline (Joe), Jessica Liu (Paul), Matthew Graf (Leah), Amy Graf, Angela Whistler (Rick), Shannon Crane (Bobby), Bonnie Archer (Joe), Anthony Graf (Ashley Philpot), Cory Patton (Ryan Wibbels), Samantha Hamilton (Brandon), Cody Graf (Katie), Cara Graf (Jordyn Campbell), Phillip Graf, and Beth Book (Brian); and her great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Emily, Abigail, Corbin, Teagan, Rozalyn, Lorelei, A.J., Anistyn, Addison, Zach, Brianna, Conner, Logan, Casey, Regan, Riley, Aoife, Andy, Jack, and Ethan.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Graf; her son, David Graf; her parents, Amos Pixley and Bertha Carter Pixley; her brothers, Lloyd Pixley, George Pixley, Cecil Carter, and Russell Pixley; and her aunt, Alma Carter.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at St. John Paul II - St. Joe Hill Chapel (2253 West St. Joe Rd, Sellersburg) with burial to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.
