Helen Flora (Ship) Sharp, 92, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Sunday evening, August 7, 2016 at her residence after a long illness. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses being active in teaching the bible for over 60 years.
She was born on January 31, 1924 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to the late Walter and Lottie (Butler) Ship. Helen was also preceded in death by her sisters, Verna Lee Cody, Sylvia Hettinger, Lucille Patterson; and brothers, Alan and Leonard Ship.
Helen is survived by her sons, Herman Sharp, Jr., Robert Sharp (Sandra); grandchildren, Todd Sharp, Kevin Sharp (Tamara), Melia Harvey, Travis Sharp (Heather); 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and countless friends that she made over her long life.
Cremation was chosen following Helen's wishes. A Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (8409 County Line Road, Sellersburg, IN 47172).
