Helen E. Posey Brown Frank was born on February 14, 1940 in Louisville Kentucky to Fannie E. Brown and Alexander Posey. She departed this life surrounded by family and friends on March 21, 2015 at Jewish Hospital. She professed a belief in Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Green Street Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. She served as a member of the Women's Church Aid, and the Nurses Guild Ministry.
She attended Central High School in Louisville KY. She worked at Spalding Laundry & Dry Cleaning Company for 31 years. She also worked at Highland Cleaners, and later retired from the Mini-Versity Child Development Center.
Helen enjoyed helping and caring for others. She was very involved in planning activities at the William G. Weathers Senior Building. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, socializing and traveling. She had a wonderful smile and personality that could light up a room.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Frank Jr.; her parents, Fannie E. Brown and Alexander Posey and sisters, Sandra Davis and Ada Posey.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Yvette A. Frank; a grandson, Sean James Frank, his wife Janet Frank; a sister Jacqueline Brown; an Aunt Dolores Hickerson; a great grandson and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2015, at Green Street Baptist Church, 519 Gray Street, Louisville, KY from 6pm-8pm. A celebration of Helen's life will be Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Green Street Baptist Church with services beginning at 11am.
