Helen Casey

Helen Marie Casey, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was born on November 20, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky only child to the late JD and Marie Stodghill. Helen was a Master Bridge Player and an avid swimmer. She was fierce and despite contracting polio at a very young age she never complained. She never let it slow her down or take away her positive outlook on life. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and her family will miss her greatly, but they have peace in knowing that she is now their angel watching over them from heaven.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by Clyde Casey.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Karen Zabel and Brian Casey; grandchildren, Cameron (Nichole) Casey, Colin Casey, Kasi Williams, Kari Zabel, Jenna Zabel, and Daniel Williams, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Amelia Casey, Cody Ernspiker, Alyssa (Brandon) Geary, Daniel Williams, Jr., Brenna Poiles, Braden Tanner, Bailey Harbison and Bentley Harbison; a great-great granddaughter, Magnolia June Ernspiker; niece, Constance Ernspiker; great niece and nephew, Cora Lynn and Michael West.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, at St. Martha Catholic Church with burial to follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Helen's honor to Kosair Children's Charities.
