Helen Jean Carlisle

Helen Jean Carlisle, born on February 25, 1931, Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on April 28, 2025, in her hometown. 

She attended Eastern High School and later embarked on a successful career as a bookkeeper at Lincoln Home Furniture, where she dedicated over ten years of service. 

Helen enjoyed a range of hobbies that brought joy to her life, including bowling, visiting the Casino Boat, fishing, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Her family was a significant part of her life, and she cherished the moments spent with them.

Helen is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who will remember her warmth and generosity. She is preceded in death by her father, George Craven; her mother, Mamie Craven; her husband, Roy K. Carlisle; and her siblings, George Craven, Mildred Hudson, Margaret West, Ethel Mahoney, and Violet Riedling.

Visitation will be held on May 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, Kentucky. A funeral service will take place on May 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park, at 12:00 PM.

Helen Jean Carlisle's legacy will endure through her family and friends, all of whom hold dear the memories of her loving nature. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
