Hazel L. Lamar

Hazel L. Lamar, 87, was born on December 11, 1938 in Morgantown, Kentucky, and passed away on May 21, 2026.

A perfect day in Hazel's life would begin with reading her Bible, a testament to her faith. She found pleasure in taking leisurely rides, a time for reflection and appreciation of the world around her. A stop for ice cream would bring delight to these outings, and ending the day with some old westerns on television was a pastime that combined nostalgia and relaxation.

Hazel was the beloved daughter of the late Raymond Lamar and Vertie Lindsey Lamar. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Jean Potter; and brothers, Wendell Lamar and Ellis Lamar. In a profound loss, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debora Reynolds.

Hazel is survived by her devoted sons, James (Lori) Reynolds, William (Delois) Reynolds, and Michael Reynolds. She is also remembered by her sister, Jewell (Charles) Hudson; nine cherished grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren who continue to be inspired by her gentle presence.

Cremation was chosen following Hazel's wishes. Her Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
