Harriet A. Barrows, 94, formerly of Providence, Rhode Island passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Louisville Kentucky. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 11, 1923 to the late Philip and Edith Ellis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Barrows.
Harriet is survived by her beloved daughter, Stephanie (Danny) Smith; grandchildren, Nick Lowell, Domenico (Phylicia) Petersen, and Selena Gates; nieces, Julia West and Laura Smith. Harriet cherished her three fur babies, Cocoa-Chanel, Asia and Kingamess; She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Harriet was a devoted member of Christ Community Church, of Providence, Rhode Island. She loved her church congregation very much.
A celebration of Harriet's life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2017 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm also on Saturday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
