Harold Ray Watson, 55, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.
He was born on October 21, 1963 in Pewee Valley, Kentucky to Richard and Pinkie (Trowell) Watson. Harold was a graduate of Eastern High School and Jefferson Technical Community College where he received an associates degree in plumbing technology. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in Desert Storm. While in the Army Harold received 3 Bronze Stars, a Marksman Qualification Badge, military education in Construction Equipment Repair, and many other awards and distinctions. Harold was a member of Taylortown A.M.E. Zion Church where he was a part of the Faithful Praise Choir, was a Sunday School teacher of children, a member of the Brotherhood Chorus, a Vacation Bible School Helper and Teacher, and belonged to the Sunday School. One of his favorite songs from church was Jesus Said "He'll Take Care of Me". Harold enjoyed watching wrestling on TV, playing cards and tennis, swimming, dancing, and playing word games on his phone.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Pinkie E. Watson, Father, Richard C. Watson, Sr., Sister, Phyllis A. Carson, and Brother, Eric D. Watson.
Harold is survived by his Daughter, Chelsea Raylynn Watson, Brother, Richard N. (Priscilla) Watson, Sister, Marcella E. Watson, Brother, Leonard C. (Patricia M.) Watson, Sister, Lenora L. (Floyd R.) Walker, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Extended Family, and Friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 9th and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, August 10th at Taylortown A.M.E. Zion Church. His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at the Church with burial to follow at in Taylortown Cemetery.
