Harold Stanley Washmuth, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Parkway Medical Center. He was born in Enterprise, Indiana on November 8, 1926 to the late Harry and Hazel Washmuth. He was retired as a civil servant from Fort Knox, Kentucky and a founding member of New Salem Baptist Church. Harold was a veteran in the United States Army during WWII.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Leona Cummings and Doris Goff.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Doris Washmuth; two daughters, Diana (Francis) Clementi and Deborah (Chester) West; a sister, Wilma Lohide; and a host of other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to New Salem Baptist Church.
