March 9, 1940 — June 3, 2021

Harold "Hillbilly" Thurman, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Harold was a proud United States Army Veteran, having served with the 101st Airborne as a Paratrooper. He was a devoted father and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Fan. Harold loved watching the Western Channel and his old Cowboy Movies. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on March 9, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky to Arthur and Marietta (Sweasy) Thurman. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Donald Thurman, and Sister, Cathy Petty.

Harold is survived by his Daughters, Shelly (Tony) Hooper, Sandy Richardson, and Shelia Thurman, Sisters, Barbara Hernandez, and Judy Evans. Harold also leaves behind 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 2:30 pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 North Dixie, Highway) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
